problem: current goodreads users cannot swap used books, add outside social media connections to an in-app friends list, or interact with friends. by enabling users to swap used books and add contacts from outside social media apps, they will be able to form robust communities of readers all in one app.
solution: by enabling users to swap used books and integrate contacts from outside social media apps, goodreads can foster stronger reader communities within a single platform while reducing the waste of readers buying books new. a book swap marketplace and social media integration would allow users to easily import friends, creating more connected networks.
